KVASNICA, Vera M. (Ross) – of Burton, age 103, passed away Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Cottage of Davison. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Bonnie Wood officiating. The family will welcome visitors from 10 AM until the time of the service on Monday at Allen Funeral Home.
Vera was born in Birch Run, MI on September 9, 1921, daughter of the late Finley and Emma Ross. On March 21, 1942, she married the love of her life, Charles Kvasnica, with whom she shared a wonderful journey until his passing on April 11, 2011. For over 50 years, Vera dedicated herself to volunteering at McLaren Hospital, touching countless lives with her kindness and generosity. She had a zest for life, enjoying activities such as line dancing, square dancing, and competing in the Flint Senior Winter Olympics. Her adventurous spirit took her around the world, as she deeply loved traveling and exploring new places. Vera's vibrant energy and love for life will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Vera is survived by her children, Wayne (Pamela) Kvasnica and Emma “Jean” Kvasnica; grandchildren, Debbie (Doug) Bellew, Dr. Angela (Jason Nordberg) Kvasnica, Laura (Rob) Beahm and Marie (Mike) Lacey; great-grandchildren: Rowan, Garrick, and Genevieve Bellew, Owen and Gage Lacey, and Jackson Beahm; and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kvasnica, and daughter, Susan Kvasnica-Fox. A special thank you to the Cottage of Davison staff and Amara Hospice for their loving care of Vera.
