Cristino Serna Jr. of McAllen Texas, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 58, died Thursday May 9, 2024 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. Honoring his wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1-4 pm Friday May 17, 2024, with a Memorial Service commencing at 4:00pm at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison; with Rev. Angel Garcia officiating. Those desiring may make contributions in Cristino’s memory to the Serna Family.
Cristino was born in Laredo Texas on August 31, 1965 the son of Cristino and Consuelo (Sanchez) Serna and has resided in Texas the last eleven years, spending many years in the Grand Blanc area. He was joined in marriage to B. Esthela Gonzalez on December 19, 1990. Cristino had a great love of music, whether he was playing the guitar or the drums. His passion for Karaoke and singing was a sound of beauty. He was a member of the National Association of Realtors, and had been employed by RE/MAX and Grant Hamady Real Estate Agencies.
He is survived by his wife B. Esthela, his loving children: Andrew, Stephen, Christopher, Nataly, and Isabella. He also leaves his mother Consuelo Sanchez-Serna, his siblings: Yolanda (Rocky) Mont, Tom (Jackie) Serna, Mina Dawson, Connie (Marvin) Riley, Maria Serna, and a host of extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by father Cristino Serna, sisters: Olga Streeter and Chacha Martinez.
