AIKMAN, Norma J. – of Burton, MI, age 88, passed away on May 16, 2024. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM, Thursday May 23, 2024, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Robert D. Taylor officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 10 AM–12 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Institute of Arts in Norma’s memory.

Norma was born in Flint, MI on November 8, 1935, daughter of Walter and Barbara White, sister of Walter White Jr. and Barbara Painter. She married William Aikman on October 6, 1956, in Flint. She was an artist, sculptor, author, and musician. Norma’s works were featured in the Flint Institute of Arts, The Flint Journal, and various community organizations. She raised and nurtured five children, three dogs, and one husband.

Norma is survived by daughters, Valerie, and Pamela; sons, Jeffrey (Sarah), and
Steven (Lori). She has five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by husband, William,
and son, Michael.

A Beautiful Spirit delights in many transformations and carries insight within.
Determination of her soul stood the test of time. The color of our lives does not fade,
but grows brighter with every changing season and her love shines in ours.
