BOWEN, Margina A. - Of Swartz Creek, age 67, died Monday, August 24, 2020 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral Mass will celebrated 11am Friday, August 28, 2020 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek, MI 48473
Father Louis Ekka officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to American Kidney Fund.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Friday at church until the time of the Mass.
Margina was born in Flint on December 14, 1952, the daughter of James and Marjorie (Johnson) Horton. On June 29, 1974, she married Charles Bowen at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church where she remained a faithful member throughout her life. Margina enjoyed gambling at casinos, couponing and bargain shopping. She also loved looking forward to her monthly dinner dates with the Dragon Ladies.
Surviving are sons, Charles Bowen II and Christopher (Jessica) Bowen;
Granddaughter, Gwen Bowen;
Sister, Bonnie (Charles) Hiteshew;
Brother, James (Sandy) Horton II;
And many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bowen and parents, James and Marjorie Horton.
