TANKERSLEY, Bradley M. – of Flint, age 55, passed away October 30, 2016 at his residence. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Private burial will be held in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Wednesday and 10-11 AM on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County, American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
Brad was born in Flint, MI on February 25, 1961, son of Sally (Robert) Sabo and Ken (Margaret) Tankersley. He graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1979. Brad retired from the Grand Blanc Township Police Department in 2008 after 26+ years of service. He continued working at the department part-time after his retirement. Brad began working for the State of Michigan in 2010 as a clerk for the Secretary of State and most recently worked for the Department of Health and Human Services in the Children’s Unit. Brad loved to work and he made so many friends along the way.
Brad is survived by his life-time spouse, Dennis Corkins; sister, Sheryl (Steven) Colley; brothers, Greg (Diane) Tankersley, Brian Tankersley; sisters-in-law, Cathy (John) Glenn and Judy Corkins; nieces, Tiffany (Wayne) Stone, Tracy Tankersley, Rebecca Tijerina, Tina (John) Lamson, Sherri Corkins; nephews, Heath (Christina) Colley, Eric (Jenna) Tankersley, Danny Tijerina, James Corkins, Kurt (Donna) Corkins and Francis Tull; 11 great-nieces; ten great-nephews and one great-great-nephew.
