Loving mother and grandmother passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Age 73 years. The daughter of the late Roy and Eleanor (Schneider) Taylor, Joann was born December 22, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to John O. Boyd on June 16, 1962. He predeceased her September 11, 2003. Joann was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed making jelly, traveling, family gatherings and especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are one daughter, one son and their spouses, Karen and Dave Tooley, Holly, Michigan; Hugh and Nancy Calloway, North Carolina; five loving grandchildren, Adam, Grant and Emma Tooley, Meghan and Sam Calloway; special family members, Dick Fox and her cousins Jack and Gloria; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Knights of Columbus Council #4232.
