Ward, Mark James of Flushing, age 67, died Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at his home in Flushing, Michigan. Mark was born in Flint, Michigan on July 18th, 1956 the son of Gerald and Judith Ward. He worked for General Motors for over 40 years, spending the majority of his career at Buick City and retiring from the Bay City plant. He was an avid collector of Buick memorabilia and proudly displayed his collection in his garage and
throughout his home. Mark loved listening to a variety of music and attending concerts with friends and his daughter. He and his father enjoyed spending time together camping, snowmobiling, and riding the buggy (ATV). He also liked to attend auto races with friends and antiquing with his daughter.
A gathering of friends and family is scheduled from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Rossell Funeral Home. The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024, at Flushing United Methodist Church. In place of flowers, the family asks for memorial contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ward-Kolka, son-in-law Jimmy Kolka, and
beloved granddog, Zaxxon of Kalamazoo Michigan; father, Gerald Ward of Oscoda Michigan; brother-in-law, Ken Bissonnette, niece, Brenna, and nephews Cory and Brandon of Grand Blanc Michigan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Ward, and sister, Kelly Bissonnette. |
