TIMBS, Asie “Ace” J. – age 74, passed away July 19, 2015 at Stonegate Health Campus in Lapeer. Cremation has taken place.
Ace was born in Harrisburg, AR on May 20, 1941, son of the late John and Clare (DeLones) Timbs. Ace moved to Flint, MI in the 1950’s, where he attended Barber College and was a licensed barber. He retired after 30 years of service from AC Spark Plug. He was a member of the Shriner’s.
Ace is survived by son, Keith (fiancé Sue Scramlin) Hopkins; grandchildren, Keith J. Hopkins, Heidi R. (Erik) DaPra and Jacob K. Hopkins; older brother, Bob Timbs; many nieces and nephews; special friend of 50 years, Craig Young. He was preceded in death by loving wife, Linda (Hopkins) Timbs; brothers, John, Guy, Gene and Leland; sister, Martha.
