RENNER, Gloria J. – of Montrose, age 67, died Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 2PM Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Tim Hobson officiating. Burial to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Michigan Organ Transplant Center.
Gloria was born on September 8, 1950 in Montrose, Michigan to the late Robert and Geraldine (Vliet) Brown. She attended Montrose High School. Gloria married Roy Renner on April 27, 1968 in Montrose. She worked for Mary Jane Nursing Home, Montrose Nursing Home and General Motors for 8 years. Gloria also was a foster parent and raised 97 foster children. She enjoyed going to auctions, collecting jewelry, antiques, snowmobiling, and boating. Gloria also enjoyed camping, spending time with family, and raising animals.
Surviving are: Husband, Roy Renner; Children: Laura (Don) Dowell, Mickie (Kenneth) Gifford, John (Kathleen) LaVallier, Michael (Scarlet Lucas) Renner, Joseph Renner, and John (Skye) Renner; Grandchildren: Logan (Allie) Dowell, Kohl (Ben) Maenza, Garrett Gifford, Allison LaVallier, John James LaVallier, Keegan LaVallier, Michael Renner Jr., Cody Renner, Court Renner, Ryann Renner, Aiden Renner, Shiloh Renner, and Atalie Renner; Sister, Nancy (Dennis) Kelsoe.
