BRAGG, William “Jimbo” went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Fenton.
Funeral service will be held 7pm Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 4pm until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will also be held at Sewell Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle, West Virginia at 2pm Saturday, March 2, 2013. Visitation 12noon until the time of the service at the church.
Burial in Claypool Cemetery in Claypool, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice.
Jimbo was born October 16, 1941 in Claypool, West Virginia the son of William Hazzard and Nellie(Kaylor) Bragg. Jimbo had many interests which include hunting, rock collecting, gun collecting, wood working and helping family and friends with carpentry. He was a member at Sewell Valley Baptist Church in Rainelle, WV; Harmony Baptist Church in Burton; Atlanta (MI) Senior Center; and Grand Blanc Senior Citizens. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. Mr. Bragg was employed by GM, retiring in 1996 as a Paint Booth Cleaner.
He is survived by his wife, Betty (Gillooley), whom he married on July 20, 1963 in Chicago. He is also survived by son James (Tammi) Bragg of Grand Blanc; daughter Theresa (Scott) Hill of Brimley, MI; brother Donel (Charlene) Bragg of Swartz Creek; sister Betty (Jim) Peters of Burton; brother Jackie (Vera) Bragg; sister Bonnie Richmond of Meadow Creek, WV; sister Rosetta (Alvin) McGuire of Meadow Bridge, WV; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and special nephews Jimmie Crawley and J.W. Long; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Haz Bragg and Nellie Bragg; sister Helen Cotton; sister Margie Long Armstrong.
