DUNTON, Carol Jouvana – of Davison, age 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at McLaren-Flint surrounded by loved ones. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Dave Pennell and Pastor Dave Weber co-officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Burial of cremated remains will be in Flint Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-2 PM and 4-7 PM Monday, October 8, 2018 and 10 -11 AM prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 8192 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423.
Carol was born in Flint, MI on May 9, 1936, daughter of the late James and Estella (Kirby) Wiecorek. She married Jack Dunton in Flint on March 9, 1957. He preceded her in death on March 5, 2006. Carol loved being at home, taking care of her family. In her later years, she became a tutor coordinator for Davison Community Schools and then spent five years as a phlebotomist.
Carol is survived by her son, Tennyson (Lisa) Dunton; five grandchildren, Chastity (Stephen) Dodd, Nichole Dunton, Melissa (Shaun) Wells, Jarred (Rachel) Dunton and Trevar Nordberg; seven great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kadi, Brianna, Chance, Preston, GraceAnn, Abigale; one on the way,
Cora June. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; daughter, Kimberly “Kimmy” Nordberg; sister, Donna Carothers.
