James “Jim” Michael Furno, 60, of Burton, Michigan, passed away on Sunday July 7, 2019. He was born on January 4, 1959, to parents Dorris Virginia and Gerald Earnest Furno. Jim grew up in the Burton area. He later lived in several places including Flint, MI and Springfield, IL where he specialized in car electronic installations. Jim was an avid NASCAR fan and loved music. He was the drummer in a band that played in the Flint area in the late 70’s and early 80’s called the Dead End Kids. Jim is survived by his daughters: Tara Furno, Jamie Sclafani; grandson, Frank Sclafani; mother Dorris Furno; brothers: Dave Furno, Bob (Bobbi) Furno, Andy (Barb) Furno; sister, Kathy (Mark) Hardy; nephews: David Furno, Evan Furno , and Justin, Jordan, Logan, and London Hardy. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Furno and daughter, Alicia Furno. A memorial service will be held in October. |
