JANUCHOWSKI, Sharon L. – age 67, Life-long resident of Flint and fan of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. Funeral Service Monday, June 27 at 1 PM at Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw, Grand Blanc. Visitation Saturday, June 25 and Sunday, June 26 from 2-8 PM. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Januchowski was born November 19, 1943, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Susan Nixon. Sharon enjoyed camping and fishing at Rice Lake and Sheila Lake, located in Canada, every year with her family. Also, she was fantastic at horseshoes and liked to go bowling. She was an avid animal lover, country music fan and will be remembered always as a hard worker. Surviving are: children, Rhonda Patterson, Susan (Michael) Beckman, Elizabeth (Jim Bonesteel) Nixon, Jeremy (Katie) Nixon, Prentiss (Michelle) Nixon and Janine Walters; Grandchildren, Travis, Alexander, April, Amber, Jacob, Jessica, Chrystine, Johnathan and Dominick; Siblings, Sonny Nixon, Ilene (Robert) Shinabarger; Marlene ‘Alice’ McKinstry, Charles (Maeda) Nixon, Janice (Hoover) Walker, Beverly (Charlie) Pendergrass, Yvonne Barron and Gail DeRosia. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Januchowski and sister, Winnifred Leffel. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.hillfh.com
