COWAN, Nina Nadine – of Davison, age 85, passed away October 21, 2017. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 AM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Nina was born in Parma, MO on August 10, 1932, daughter of the late John and Nora (Ramsey) Ellis. Nina Ellis married Earl Cowan on July 9, 1982. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church since 1981and belonged to the IBG of General Motors. Nina retired from AC Delphi in 1998.She loved baking and spending time with her family.
Nina is survived by husband, Earl; children, Denise (Jason Callihan) Joseph, John Duford and Velda Shock; step-children, Janee Cowan and Darrell (Kim) Cowan; several grandchildren including Jason (Teresa) Duford and great-grandchildren including Lia Duford; sister, Dovey Goforth; special friends, Irwin and LaDonna Borchelt and Anita and Chuck Patilla. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
