KEYES, Reginald E. “Jim” – of Clio, age 92, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Brian’s House in Davison. Memorial services will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Clio. Pastor Darrel Manning officiating. Burial in Montrose Twp. Cemetery with military honors. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 11AM-1 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church- Building Fund.
Jim was born April 25, 1920 in Mt. Morris, MI to the late Howard and Viva Keyes. He married Byrde Daly in October 1947, she preceded him in death in 1998. He served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper 82nd airborne during WWII. Jim retired from GM V8 Engine plant in Flint, after 51 years of service. He was a former Sunday school teacher and a Charter member of the First Baptist of Clio and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Jim was a hard worker and enjoyed reading.
Surviving are: Children, Karen (George) Enoch of Sharon, PA, Stephanie (Bill) Heasley of Sebring, FL, Doug Keyes of Clio, Perry (Julie) Keyes of Clio; 11 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Great-Great-Grandchild; Sister Hildreth (Roger) Lockwood of Mt.Morris; several nieces and nephews.
