GEAR (nee HOWARD) (JONES), BONNIE J. - Longtime resident of Flint, age 81, died Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Genesee Care Center.
Visitation 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Private burial at Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Burton or the Alzheimer's Association.
Bonnie was born in Paragould, Arkansas on May 17, 1936.
Bonnie retired from AC spark Plug Division/Delphi after 30 years of service.
Surviving are daughters, Valerie (Steve) Richardson and Linda Backenstose;
grandchildren, Jeff (Kristi) Richardson, Jenna Richardson, Brooke and Paige Backenstose.
great-grandchildren, Gracie and Curtis Richardson;
nieces, nephews and several close friends, who were very special to Bonnie.
She was a very loving and caring person and generous to a fault.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Corinne Howard; brothers, Larry and Jerry Howard.
Mrs. Gear’s family would like to extend their special gratitude to Genesee Care Center and Absolute Hospice for the loving care they provided Bonnie.
