HILGENDORF, Suzanne Marie (Blair) – of Davison, age 80, passed away October 5, 2018 at her residence. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, October 11, 2018 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Wednesday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 7:15 PM Wednesday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Building Fund.
Suzanne was born in Atlas Township, MI on March 19, 1938, daughter of the late Chester and Marie (Austin) Blair. Her family was the most important thing to her. She was a very loyal and dedicated mother, grandmother and friend. Suzanne was a fierce champion of all her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She nurtured, cheered, transported, directed, counseled, prodded, shopped for, picked up after, cooked for, bragged about and most of all, provided unending support, encouragement and love for her children and grandchildren. One of Suzanne’s great strengths was her ability to see the positive side of every situation. Her family will draw inspiration from that virtue as they mourn her passing.
Suzanne is survived by her son, Mikel (Suzette) Hilgendorf; grandchildren, Conner and Lauren; sister, Mary Kay Blair. She was preceded in death by her soul mate and partner, John Heald and sister, Barbara Cook.
