JOSEPH, William D. – Of Grand Blanc, age 83, died Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at McLaren-Lapeer.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Brian Oswald officiating.
Burial in Assyrian Cemetery with military service under the auspices of Chevrolet Motor Post #3087 Honor Guard.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Disabled American Veterans of Michigan or the Assyrian Scholarship Fund.
Visitation 11 a.m.– 8 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
William was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 20, 1932, the son of the late Benjamin and Betty Joseph.
Bill graduated from Flint Northern High School.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle and the Assyrian American Club of Flint.
Bill enjoyed automobiles, trains and spending time with his family.
Mr. Joseph retired from General Motors Buick Motor Division and was a member of UAW Local #599.
Surviving are three children, Daniel and wife Denise,
Steven and wife Victoria,
Nancy and husband Neal Petermann;
step-son, Arthur and wife Rozlin Tamraz;
10 grandchildren;
5 great-grandchildren;
brother, David Joseph;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Erma and brother, Robert.
