A memorial service will be held in the Spring of 2019 at Temple Beth El, 5150 Calkins Rd., Flint. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Michael Stanley Educational Fund c/o the Flint Jewish Federation, 619 Wallenberg St., Flint, MI 48502. Mort was born July 14, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, the son of Carl and Anne (Snyder) Stanley. He married Lois Mednick on August 5, 1956. Mort graduated from Temple University and received his Doctorate of Osteopathy from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Stanley interned at Flint Osteopathic Hospital where he remained his entire career. Dr. Stanley was instrumental in the formation of Genesys Health Systems. Surviving are: wife, Lois Stanley of Flint; son, David and wife, Cathy Stanley of Flint; daughter, Merrilee Stanley and partner, Adam Lewis of Las Vegas, NV; daughter-in-law, Amy Stanley of Grand Blanc; three grandsons, Aaron, Samuel and Maxwell Stanley. He was preceded in death by: his parents; and his son, Michael Stanley on December 14, 2012. Arrangements by Sharp Funeral Homes. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
