SALSGIVER, Dennis – of Davison, age 69, passed away July 17, 2018 at his residence. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 4 PM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 11 AM – 2 PM and 4-8 PM Friday. There will be two hours of visitation prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Davison Athletic Program.
Dennis was born in Petoskey, MI on June 24, 1949, son of the late Rex and Betty (Reinhardt) Salsgiver. He married Sandy Sue Jones on August 11, 1978 and she preceded him in death on March 5, 2014. Dennis enjoyed hunting, the great outdoors and spending time with his family. Dennis retired after 25 years as a teacher for LakeVille Schools.
Dennis is survived by his children, Chad (Lisa) Stuemke, Troy Salsgiver and Lance Salsgiver; grandson, Jaxon; mother, Betty Salsgiver; siblings, Jo (Don) Sherwood, Mark (Becky) Salsgiver, Blake Salsgiver and Renee (Mark) Barkman; several nieces and nephews.
