HANK (WIEST), Joyce Louise – Age 75, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Grand Blanc.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joyce’s life.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 11804 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Father Daniel Westermann officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
Visitation 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Joyce was born on December 10, 1942 in Dearborn, Michigan to Conrad and Jeanne (McLean) Wiest.
She graduated from Grand Blanc high School in 1960.
She married Chester Hank, in 1962 and they welcomed 4 children into their home, Michael, Jeanne, David and Victoria.
She worked for many years at Consumers Power, where she made life-long friends. All remember her as free-spirited and free-thinking.
Joyce was an active and dedicated member of the American Legion and often volunteered at Grand Blanc Post #413, where she held the office of President of the Auxiliary and Home Association. She also volunteered at Holy Family Catholic School.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Chester Hank;
her children, David (Beth) Hank and Victoria (Jim) Dallas;
her grandchildren, Nathan (Jenn) Hank, Alexander Hank, John Hank and Nikki Jones and her great-grandchildren, Oliver Hank and Miles Hank.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Wiest and her children, Michael Hank and Jeanne Hank.
