Hanks, Louis Edward Sr. - Age 78, of Linden, died February 2, 2018. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 AM Friday, February 9 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Visitation 2-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad Street, Linden, and 10:30 AM until time of mass Friday at church. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to ALS . Louis was born October 20, 1939 in Flint. He retired from General Motors, Grand Blanc, Metal Fab. with 42 years of service. He enjoyed fishing. Lou cared deeply for his family. Surviving are: his six children, Liz (Bill) Holcomb, Lou Jr. (Sue) Hanks, Joseph Hanks, Vincent Hanks, David Hanks, Katie (Luke) Gauvin; step-son Ryan McKensie; brother, George (Noi) Hanks; sister, Mary Ann (Bill) Lingerfelt; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Michael, Emily, Joey, Angel, Jessica; Alicia, and Jude; five great-grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis V. Hanks and Cathaleen M. (Herfurth) Hanks Sortman. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
