DIEGEL, Mary Jane - of Clio, age 82, died Friday, May 27, 2016 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Mary Jane will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, North Branch at 2:30 PM. Visitation will be at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Tuesday from 12 Noon to 9 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of Mass at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church or the Maple Grove Cemetery, North Branch, MI.
Mary Jane was born March 1, 1934 in North Branch, MI to the late David and Elaine (Ballard) Brusie. She lived in Clio from 1976 until moving to Bay City then returning to Clio in 1995. She was united in marriage to Tom Diegel on June 13, 1953. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2000. Mary Jane was a member of Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church. She enjoyed watching football, going to the casino, but mostly spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Children: Penny Isenbergh of Milford, Patsy (Kevin) Schweninger of AL, Pete (Barb) Diegel of Clio, Paul (Laura) Diegel of Rochester, Phyllis (Jim) Huff of Clio; 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Ann “Pug” (Oscar) Schierlinger of TX; nieces and nephews.
