Beverly Ann Lewis, age 70, of Flint died December 13, 2019 at McLaren-Flint. Beverly was born February 8, 1949 and she was raised and lived in Flint most of her life; she did move to Inverness, Florida for almost 10 years after retiring from GM. Beverly then returned to Flint to be with her granddaughters in the late 1990’s. Her only two grandchildren are Morgan and Madison Lewis; she was Gramma Bevy to them! They were her whole world. My mom/Bev as known to most, was a caregiver for the elderly after retiring from AC Spark Plug/GM in 1990. Bev was a true caregiver to all she cared for and a very generous person to all her friends and family. She cared for the parents of many local families that were at the end of their lives. Bev was a one of a kind free spirit and she was a proud card carrying Republican Party supporter! Bev was so excited to see president Trump win! Definitely a spit fire of a lady! Bev was not married at the time of her passing, but had been married twice previously. Mom’s favorite thing in the world was Bingo, more like her driving force of life was Bingo, lol!! She loved it as much as anything, it was her favorite past time for sure. She is survived by son Ray Lewis, daughter-in-law Erin Lewis, brother Gary Purcell, sisters Linda(Scott)Turnbull and Shirley(Mike)Hajec, granddaughters Morgan and Madison Lewis, niece Stephanie Turnbull. No funeral per her request but a memorial celebration of her life will take place after the holidays. As you know, she wanted her body donated to science to help others. |
