TAPPEN, John A. – Of Grand Blanc, formerly of Flint, age 77, died Tuesday, August 11, 2020.
Private service has been held.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flower contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County.
John was born in Flint, Michigan on April 27, 1943, the son of
the late Laverne and Hazel (Campbell) Tappen.
He enjoyed camping on Lake Leelanau.
He loved MSU football and enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Surviving are children, David (Kristina) Tappen and Carol (Greg) Smith;
grandchildren, Derek E. and Shelby J. Smith, Tyler and Sydney Salinas;
siblings, Jim (Nancy) Tappen, Mary (Ralph) Letobar and Merle Tappen;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his life partner, Dave Steinhoff and brother, Bill.
