Ruth Ann Gilbert age 81 of Gaines, passed away Monday, June 17, 2024 at Argentine Care Center. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. Pastor John Walworth will be officiating. Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM.
Ruth Ann Wolfin was born May 22, 1943 in Durand, daughter of Ralph and Frances (Drennan) Wolfin. On March 2, 1963 she married Joe Gilbert. Ruth enjoyed making music, sewing, gardening, flowers, cooking, baking, truck pulling and spending time with her family. She played organ at the Gaines United Methodist Church for 60 years, was a bookkeeper for Joe's Service for 50 years and was a beauty consultant for Mary Kay for 25 years.
Ruth is survived by her husband, Joe Gilbert; children, Tammy (Gaylon) Bancroft and Tim (Sue) Gilbert; grandchildren, Daniel, A.J., Ryan and Kristen; great grandchildren, Miles, Seth, Bethany, Zahara and Alara; and brothers, Roger (Rosemary) and Ronnie (Jan) Wolfin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Frances Wolfin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth's name are suggested to the Burns Township Fire Department, 10355 Bath Rd., Byron, MI 48418 |
