VUCKOVICH, Rosemary – Of Flint Township, age 87, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2143 South Center Road, Father Matthew-Peter Butrie officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church Memorial Fund.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mrs. Vuckovich will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service.
A Parastas Service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rosemary was born in Gary, Indiana on March 22, 1927 and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life.
She married Marko Vuckovich on May 21, 1955.
She was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and served as the secretary for 26 years. She was active with St. Catherine’s Women’s League and was a member of the Serbian Lodge.
Surviving are sons, Michael and wife Mary of Owosso,
Daniel and wife Terry of Kalamazoo;
grandsons, Anthony, Andrew and wife Kate, Dylan and Jordan;
sister-in-law, Angie Komenich;
several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marko, on September 9, 2002 and brother, Raymond Komenich.
