MOREY, Elsie L. – of Davison Township, age 78, went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2016, with her family gathered around her. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Friday, March 25, 2016 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 11 AM - 3 PM & 5-8 PM Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International.
Elsie was born in Danville, IL on March 14, 1938, daughter of the late Myron and Mary (Rounsevell) Walker. She married Donald Morey in Danville on August 5, 1962. Elsie was a member of Richfield Church of the Nazarene.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 53 years, Donald; three sons, Bradley (Janet – who preceded Elsie in death, January 5, 2016), Bruce (Dawn) and Brian (Karen); Seven grandchildren, Anthony, Kaleigh, Jessica, Samantha, Abigail, Gavin and Dannion; brothers, Howard (Betty) Walker of Flint and Randall (Cyndi) Walker of Camas, WA; very special niece, Holly (Walker) Herr; several nephews and nieces. The family extends a special thank you to Hospice Med Team and caregiver, Christine O’Morrow.
