HORENZIAK, Gregory J. – of Clio, age 61, died Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Maple Woods Manor in Clio. Mass will be celebrated in memory of Gregory at 11AM Friday, June 15, 2018 at Ss. Francis and Clare Parish, 12157 Church Street, Birch Run. Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 10AM until the time of Mass at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Ss. Francis and Clare Parish or the Mexican American Council Inc.
Gregory was born on October 24, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Walter and Marian (Bittner) Horenziak. He graduated from New Lothrop High School in 1974. After graduation, Gregory obtained an Associate’s Degree. Gregory worked for Nexteer in Saginaw for many years. He enjoyed playing music, hunting, helping his neighbors, and spending time with his family. In his earlier years, he enjoyed sailing on his sailboat.
Surviving are: Siblings: Nicholas (Cathy Welch) Horenziak, Benjamin (Lilli) Horenziak, Anthony (Marian) Horenziak, Christopher (Maureen) Horenziak, Margaret (Ron) Joshi-Ragan, and Regina (Randy) Smith; Godson, Steve Horenziak and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul Horenziak, sister, Theresa Horenziak, and sister-in-law, Rosemary Horenziak.
