BUECHE, Maynard Paul – Of Flushing, age 86, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Roberts Catholic Church, 310 North Cherry Street, Flushing, Father Roy Horning officiating. Burial in St. Roberts Catholic Cemetery with a military graveside service under the auspices of the Marine Corps League Flint Detachment #155 Honor Guard. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Bueche will be at the church from 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass. Maynard was born on July 29, 1924, the son of Paul and Katherine Bueche and was a resident of Flushing. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On June 24, 1947 he married Bianca Wheatley in Flushing. Mr. Bueche owned and operated Bueche Food World in Flushing. Surviving are six children, Catherine and husband Edward Witkow of Sterling Heights, Michigan, Thomas and Catherine of Seabrook, South Carolina,
James of Grand Blanc, Jane and husband Martin Torok, Betsy and husband Dennis Latesky and Patrick, all of Flushing; 16 grandchildren, Chad, Ryan, Adam, Michelle, Jennifer, Laune, Lisa, Michael, Jeremie, Jessica, Anthony, Jonathon, Katrina, Jean, Kennedy and Preston;
five great-grandchildren, Jaime, Kyle, Alexxus, Gage and Evalena;
sister, Mary Virginia Gosgrove; brother, Howard and wife Virginia Bueche; brother-in-law, Arthur of Florida; sisters-in-law, Nancy and Shirley, both of Flushing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bianca, on January 3, 2010; son, Mark; brothers, Wendell Bueche and Phillip Bueche; brothers-in-law, James, Jack, Paul and Dale.
