Jack Newton, age 85, of Otisville died April 25, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint.
Jack was born December 10, 1930 in Ithaca, Michigan to the late Harvey and Marcella Newton ( Wilhelm ). Jack served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and was preceded in death by his wife Betty “Corky” Newton in 1988. He retired from GM after 30 years of service in 1978. Jack owned the Millington Inn and Newton’s Sports Bar ( formerly Four Seasons ) in Otisville. He was also a member of the Otisville Lion’s Club and VFW Post 4087 in Davison. Jack loved drinking beer with his family & friends, and will be missed by all.
Jack is survived by his significant other Donna Robinson,
Children: Terry Morrish, Ricky Newton, Roselyn Pendell,
Siblings: Robert ( Arlene ) Newton, Butch ( Barb ) Newton,
Stepchildren: Tracy ( Brad ) Lutz, and Larry ( Bridget ) Robinson.
He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings: Sam, Betty, Nancy, and Maggie.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Forest Township Hall in Otisville from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. ( Dinner served between 12:00 to 3:00 PM )
