THOMPSON, Wilma J. - Of Flint, age 77, died Monday, September 5, 2011
at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 11a.m. Thursday, September 8, 2011
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Carl Petty officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 5-8p.m. Wednesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Contributions may be made to the Caldwell Missouri Cemetery Fund.
Wilma was born in Paulding, Missouri on August 6, 1934, and was a resident of Grand Blanc since 1966. She married Jerry Joe Thompson on March 24, 1951 in Piggott, Arkansas. They were married 56 years before he preceded her in death on July 29, 2007. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Beloved mother to Teresa (Bud) Kieffer, Mary Jo (Don) Howard, and Janice Thompson and son-in-law, Rick Northway;
grandmother to Aaron, Andy, Aimee, Adam, Joel, Kaila, Melissa, Tyler, C.J. and Sarah;
great-grandma to Katelin and Jonathan;
sisters, Virginia, Geraldine (Rusty) and Rosalee(Dale);
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Gina, twin sister, Wanda, and brother, Sonny.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
