COLLES, Robert Lee, Sr. – Of Burton, age 75, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Dr. Max B. Hayden
officiating.
Per Bob’s wishes cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on August 24, 1940, the son of the late Bruce and Mavis (Betts) Colles.
Bob married Sharron DeGeer on May 11, 1963 in Burton Township.
He enjoyed handball, hunting and fishing.
Bob retired from General Motors-Fisher Body and Buick Motor Division after 34 years of service and was a member of UAW Local #599.
Surviving are wife, Sharron;
three children, Colleen M. Colles and partner, Kathy Zuluf;
Robert, Jr. and wife Christy Colles and Darryl Colles;
six grandchildren, Chloe, Grace, James, Robert III, Tanner and Mikayla;
great-grandson, Liam;
two sisters, Eleanor and husband Fred Blatchford,
Jalonne and husband Don Bush;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Brett M. Colles and brother, Bruce W. Colles.
