GEORGE, Roger O. “Bird Man” – of Lennon, age 68, died Monday, March 7, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center of Grand Blanc. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 4PM Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 1PM until the time of service at 4PM. Contributions may be made to Boy Scouts Troop #33.
Roger was born April 8, 2016 to the late Edwin and Mamie (Long) George. He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1967. Roger retired from Chevrolet and was a member of the UAW Local # 659. He enjoyed bowling, music, playing cards and Bingo and camping – especially at Holiday Shores. Roger was also very involved with his Boy Scout Troop #33 and loved family gatherings.
Surviving are: Brothers: Reginald (Gerda) George and Gary (Karen) Lee; Sister, Janet Lee; Nieces: Kathy (Paul) Swalan and Adria Haynes; Nephew, David (Theresa) George; Several other loving nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
