GOLDSMITH, David Paul – of Clio, formerly of Flushing, Michigan, age 69, died onFriday, December 13, 2019 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, December 16, 2019 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ron Emmerling officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 12PM until 6PM and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Barbara Karmanos Cancer Center.
David was born October 13, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to the late Daniel and Irma (Leis) Goldsmith. He graduated from Flushing High School and earned his Bachelor degree from Mott Community College. David stayed at Mott and was employed in the library/media center for 42 years, retiring in 2010. He was very fond of nature, photography, and videography. David also traveled extensively, enjoying cruises and international travel. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are: Sisters: Patricia (Jim) Palmer of St. Charles, and Barbara Applebee of Clio; Nephews: Mike Marks, Don Goodwin, Jim Goldsmith Jr., Chris Palmer, Dan (Libby) Palmer, Greg Palmer, and Joseph (Krista) Applebee; Nieces: Linda (Mitch) Grant, Jackie (John) Fultz, and Dana Applebee. He was preceded in death by: Sisters: Rita (Jack) Marks, and Mary (Roy) Peters; Brother, James Goldsmith; Niece, Cathy Marks.
