CHURCH, Lee – of Genesee Twp., age 82, passed away April 12, 2014. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

Lee was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on May 20, 1931, son of the late Harold and Willinia (Dillion) Church. He married Margaret “Loraine” Peterson on March 3, 1951 at Genesee United Methodist Church and she preceded him in death on December 6, 2008. Lee served his country in the United States Army from 1952-1954. In his early years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Lee worked 38 years for General Motors.
Lee is survived by his children, Diana (Michael) Snyder of Lapeer, Randall Church of Flushing, Janet (Dale) Hiney of Flint and Cathrine Arnold of Swartz Creek; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Means; brother, Harvey Church. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Renee Hiney; brothers, Warren, Don and Melvin Church.
