COLEMAN, Elsie M. – Of Swartz Creek, age 79, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Corunna Road Baptist Church, G-6043 Corunna Road, Flint, Pastor Joe Hall officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to Corunna Road Baptist Church.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Ms. Coleman will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
Elsie was born in Illinois on June 18, 1939, the daughter of the late Earl and Ella Belt.
Ms. Coleman was devoted to God and her family.
She was a devoted member of Corunna Road Baptist Church.
She loved making jewelry, reading, quilting and making blankets. She would go to senior homes and teach Bible studies and give away her blankets and jewelry.
Ms. Coleman retired from GM in 2001.
Surviving are grandchildren, Daniel and wife Kelly Coleman of Lapeer and Nicholas Coleman (Andrea Cimini) of Lake Orion;
great-granddaughter, Karissa Coleman;
great-grandsons, Derek and Jackson;
sister, Helen Knapp;
many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ronald Coleman and great-granddaughter, Olivia Coleman.
