MAY, Albert A. - of Montrose, age 86, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Medilodge of Montrose. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Contributions may be made to Reaching Avery Ministries, PO Box 234, Newland, NC 28657.
Albert was born November 8, 1929 in Flint to the late William and Edna Mae (Smith) May. He was proud to serve his country in the US Marine Corps. Mr. May retired from Fisher Body Coldwater with 30 years seniority. He had attended Montrose United Methodist Church. He was a member of the UAW Local #326. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a Michigan State fan. Al also enjoyed golfing, hiking, square dancing and volunteering at Reaching Avery Ministries.
Surviving are: wife of 63 years, Mary Ann; Children: Albert "Kirk" May of CA, Kim (Ron) Kanatzar of MO, Robert (Amber) May of Montrose; Grandchildren: Jennifer (Chris) Toland, Ryan Kanatzar, Jamie (Tony) Thompson, Maggie (Mike) Persall; Great Grandchildren: Brittany, Parker, Alaina, Brayden, Conner, Mason, Ashton and Zachery; Brother, Don (Phyllis) May of Durand; Sisters: Judy Sumerix of Farwell, Dorothy Carter of FL; nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: Son, Ryan May; Brothers: Neil, Carl, Frank and William May; Sisters: June Lacey, Pat Calamita, Donna Miner and Erma DePottey.
