NOLDE, Lawrence R. – Age 70, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home. Mr. Nolde was born October 7, 1942 in Pontiac the son of Lawrence and Irene Nolde. He served his country with the U.S. Air Force. Lawrence was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, American Legion Post 413, the U.A.W. and the Grand Blanc Senior Center. Mr. Nolde retired from General Motors where he worked Plant Security. Surviving are his brother, Frederick (Peggy) Nolde, sister, Joan (John) Crawford Hugo, brother, Roger Nolde; nephews and nieces, Jeffrey, Wesley, Jamie, Kelly, Joe, Mary, Katherine, Lynn and Stacey; great nephews and nieces, Camden, Chase, Kennedy, Andrew, Ryan, James, Emmett, Tyler, Skyler and Madisen; many cousins. Mr. Nolde was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Irene Nolde. Friends may visit the family from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. A Rosary will be prayed 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Pontiac. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Holy Family School.
