Joseph Ivansco of Flushing, age 78, died Sunday, January 13, 2013 at McLaren-Flint Hospital. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at St. Robert Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing. Entombment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday and 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until time of the Mass Friday at the church. A Vigil for the Deceased will be 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Joe was born in Flint, MI on April 20, 1934, the son of Peter J. and Rose (Tomchanye) Ivansco. He married Frances E. Cesaro in Flint on February 15, 1958. She preceded him in death on April 12, 2009. Joe was a retired Draftsman, having worked at Buick.
He is survived by: two children, Peter and wife Leslie Ivansco of Flushing, Joann and husband Bill Pass of Daytona, FL; grandson, Justin Ivansco of Daytona, FL; sister, Rosemarie Donnelly of Flint and her children, Kim, Michelle, Mike, Tim, Andrea and Amy and their families; brother-in-law, Bill and wife Sandra Cesaro of Flushing and his son, Billie and Donna; brother-in-law, Sam and wife Barbara Cesaro of Flushing and their children, Kristin and Michael and their families; other extended family members; and his dog, Gracie. |
