SLUSSER, Francis “Frank” “Blue Mule” – of Davison, age 79, passed away August 27, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, September 1, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Don Embury officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Frank was born in Flint, MI on May 7, 1937, son of the late Francis and Arline (Adams) Slusser. He married Margaret Aylsworth on June 6, 1959. Frank retired from GM SPO in Swartz Creek after 37 years of service in 1993. He was also a security guard at the Yankee Store and a guide on the Retiree Executive Board at UAW Local #659. Frank enjoyed going to the casino, traveling, eating out and especially loved his cars. He was also a proud Boy Scout Leader.
Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret; daughters, Brenda (Steven) Limmer, Kelly (Roy) Gordon; adopted daughter, Faye Phillips; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Bill (Ruth Ann), Al, Ralph (Ruth Ann), Rosalie and Sherry (Ivan). He was preceded in death by brother, John “Buddy.”
