HAIST, James J. – Of Grand Blanc, age 68, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 4, 2012.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday, July 9, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor John Walworth officiating.
Burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Vernon, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Eastern Michigan Food Bank.
Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Haist was born in Owosso, Michigan on October 15, 1943. On October 10, 1964 he married Martha Tinklepaugh in Corunna, Michigan. He was a founding member of Genesee Valley 2 Cylinder Tractor Club and was a member of County Line All Color Tractor Club. He was a lifelong farmer. Mr. Haist hired in at Fisher Body on Saginaw Street in 1964, retiring in 2004.
Surviving are wife, Martha; children, Heidi and husband Michael Capps, James J. II and wife Michelle Haist; 3 grandchildren, Marissa, Katlyn and Jacob;
