HOPE, Wayne Albert, II “Duke” - Of Swartz Creek, age 65, died Friday, August 9, 2019.
Visitation 10am-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Private burial in Montrose Cemetery.
All are welcome to attend Wayne’s Celebration of Life which will be announced.
Wayne was born in Flint on August 17, 1953, the son of Wayne Albert and Wonda Mozelle (Wood) Hope. Wayne Hope loved his wife, his family, friends, students, and players. He was devoted to inspiring people to reach their potential. He exemplified compassion, generosity, and thoughtfulness. He saw the value in laughter, play, and storytelling. Wayne always believed in marrying the one you love, raising a good family, and surrounding yourself with good people. He did that!
Surviving are wife of 42 years, Sandy;
Children, Wayne Duke Hope, Darcy Hope, Jessica Hope (Stacy Hoenighenusen) and Russell (Jordan) Hope;
Mother, Wonda Hope;
Mother-in-law, Gloria Barrows;
Sister, Susan (Darrell) Givens;
Brother, Mark (Julie) Hope;
Brother-in-law, John (Angie) Barrows;
Sister-in-law, Barb (Don) Williams;
And several cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne, father-in-law, Robert Barrows, nephew, Kyle Givens and sister-in-law, Kay Hope.
