JOHNSON, Robert Kent - Age 74, of Swartz Creek, passed away, Monday, October 22, 2018. Services will be held 6:00 PM Friday, October 26, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc Township. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 4 PM until the time of the service. Burial 10 AM Monday, October 29, 2018 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Lung Association or the Wounded Warriors Project.
Robert was born June 29, 1944 in Flint, the son of William and Hilda (Gabrielson) Johnson. He was a 1962 graduate of Kearsley High School. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force. Robert retired from Goyette Mechanical and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #7.
Surviving are: son, Robert Kent Johnson II and wife Cynthia of Swartz Creek; daughter, Meghan Johnson and Ryan Foreman of Crystal Lake, IL; grandson, Kent Robert Johnson of Swartz Creek; mother, Hilda Johnson of Swartz Creek; brother, William and wife Doris Johnson of Flint; sister, Susan and husband Art Allan of Argentine; nephew, Leif and wife Melissa Johnson and their daughter, Elliott Grace Johnson of Clio.
