SHAFER, Kevin “Shafay” Lewis – of Flint, age 50, passed away October 27, 2014 at St. John Providence – Southfield. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Leroy Cole officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 1-8 PM Wednesday and 10-11 AM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Selina’s College Fund or the American Heart and Stroke Association.
Kevin was born in Flint, MI on November 17, 1963, son of the late Max and Alice (Davis) Shafer. He married Maria DeBellis on September 22, 2001 in Windsor, Ontario. Kevin enjoyed motorcycles, working on cars, woodworking, home improvements and constant reading. He also liked to watch Drag Racing on Sunday nights. But his greatest love of all was of his daughter, Selina.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Maria; daughter, Selina; Grandmother, Phyllis Davis; sisters, Laura (Michael) McKellar, Linda (Herb) Riley and Janet Shafer; brother, Jim Shafer; father and mother-in-law, Innocenzo and Pasqualina DeBellis; sister-in-law, Pierina DeBellis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; best friend, Tom (Char) Sanders and many other friends.
