McCALLISTER, Robert Allen – Of Burton, age 74, died Friday, April
14, 2017 at McLaren-Flint. Robert was a donor to the Gift of Life.
Visitation 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road with a Memorial Service at 3 p.m., Father Denis R. Spitzley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Boys and Girls Club of Genesee County.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on November 2, 1942, to John H. and Helen E. (Maloney) McCallister.
Bob graduated from Bendle High School, where he enjoyed participating in sports.
He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and Michigan State Spartans.
He also enjoyed traveling.
Bob retired from E.I. DuPont Company in Flint, after 30 years of service.
Surviving are Gail White, his companion of 40 years;
Gail’s children, Stacey (James) Nichols and Sara White;
Gail’s grandchildren, Whitney, Kelsey and Keith;
sister, Sharon (Merlin) Bellinger;
sister-in-law, Mary (Edwin) McCallister;
several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; six siblings; two nephews, Merlin J. Bellinger and William J. Hammond.
