VANCE, Carl D. - of Birch Run, formerly Clio, age 70, died Friday, December 15, 2017 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. Funeral arrangements will be announced. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Carl was born July 18, 1947 in Flint, Michigan to the late William and Martha Vance. He graduated from Clio High School in 1965. Carl married Gale Picard in 1999. Mr. Vance is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran. He owned Pine Run Auto in Clio for many years. Carl was past president of the Clio Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #3609. He enjoyed hot rods, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are: Wife, Gale Vance of Birch Run; Children: Rhonda Vance, William Vance, Nicole Vance, Crystal Long, and Greg Long; 7 grandchildren: Toni, Dominick, Greg, Josie, Abigale, Celina, and Marissa; Sister, Marty Arrant. Carl was also preceded in death by his son, Jeff Owens; Grandson, Dalton Vance, and brothers: William and Lynn Vance.
