O’DELL, Pat – of Davison, Age 85, passed away October 18, 2014 at his home. A Funeral Service will be held 9:15 AM Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Ben Porter, Minister officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be held in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-8 PM Wednesday and 8:30 – 9:15 AM Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Davison Church of Christ.
Pat was born in Davison, MI on August 10, 1929, son of the late Floyd and Hazel (Fellows) O’Dell. He married Mona Harrison on February 1, 1958. Pat proudly served his country as a Sgt. First Class in the U.S. Army belonging in the ASA. He was a member of Davison Church of Christ and UAW Local #659. He enjoyed baseball, bowling and working on anything with a motor. Pat worked at Fisher Body, retiring in 1988.
Pat is survived by his wife, Mona; children, Christine A. Wills, Birney J. O’Dell, Cynthia S. (Marc) Hegle, Patricia L. (Derek) Kiefer and Sandra L. O’Dell; granddaughter who he raised, Mindy; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Anthony; brothers, Robert O’Dell and Kenneth O’Dell; sister-in-law, Detta; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard and Charles.
