BROWN, Jackie W. – of Clio, age 82, passed away on October 17, 2014 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Rev. Jean Munro officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with military honors conducted by the Clio American Legion Post #158. Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday from 3-7PM, Monday from 10AM-1PM and 3-8PM and Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM.
Jackie was born on January 26, 1932 in Wayne County, MI to the late Lemuel and Margaret (Robson) Brown. He served in the U.S Army for 44 months spending most of that time in Austria. Mr. Brown retired from Buick in 1987, with over 35 year seniority. He married Mary L. Young on August 26th, 1955. He was a very patient man, a wonderful husband and father. Jack never met a stranger and he enjoyed visiting, playing cards, hunting, camping and his pontoon where he could fish and fish!
Surviving are: wife, Mary; 6 children, Jeffrey (Jackie) Brown of Mt. Morris, Gregory Brown of Naples, FL, Brian (Terry) Brown of Lewisburg, TN, Matthew Brown of Clio, Joel (Janine) Brown of Naples, FL, Margo Brown of Harrison; 14 grandchildren, Josh, Jake, Tiffiany, Nicole, Jordan, Tommy, Carly, Mike, Morgan, Brook, Alex, Mary, Alison and Wade; 3 great-grandchildren, Julian, Kali and Myra; step-mother, Evelyn; brother, Mike (Sherry) Brown; sisters, Donna, Alice (Robert), Thelma, Zella (Otto); many, many friends who were more like family. He was also preceded in death by: sisters, Leona, Rosemary, Buelah; brothers, Clayton, Shurley, Pat, Tim, Bruce and Phillip.
