William George Slusser, “Bill” peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 7, 2019. He was surrounded by his loving family. William was born on March 8, 1935 in Flint, Michigan to Francis and Arline (Adams) Slusser.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Ruth Ann (Moak) Slusser; his sons, William (Chris) Slusser, David and Catherine Slusser, Gregory and Jessica Slusser; daughter, Rebecca (Slusser) and Kevin Putman; Buster his loving dog. William is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; close family also includes brothers, Albert Slusser and Ralph (Ruth Ann) Slusser; sisters, Sherry (Slusser) Lockery and Rosalie (Slusser) Elsworth; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Arline (Adams) Slusser; brothers, John Martin “Buddy” and Frank Slusser.
William loved to cruise with his wife. He also enjoyed hunting, boating, and snowmobiling. William was a proud Korean War Veteran and proud of his country. He was the kindest man to meet. Everyone that he met, loved him. He put a smile on everyone’s face and will be missed by all.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be 12:30 PM Friday, January 10, 2020 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Interment with military honors will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Rev Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
